Ce qui paraît une évidence a été constaté par une étude sérieuse, puisqu'elle a été ménée par la CIIP sur... 229 jeunes. Bon, voilà, c'est quand même un constat que 20 Minutes a gentiment publié pour nous.
Le sondage portait sur le rapport des jeunes aux médias. On apprend que la lecture des JG augmente considérablement, confirmant que les gratuits ont un "effet saisissant" sur les reflexes des ados.
20 minutes a mis en valeur, à titre comparatif, l'idée que les 12-18 dépensent d'avantage pour communiquer avec leur natel, et qui préfèrent l'internet largement devant les autres médias, mais que la presse qu'ils lisent le plus, reste gratuite.
La lecture de la presse écrite augmente chez les adolescents, mais est-ce que la référence à la presse ce sont les JG?
Le contrat de lecture? L'impression sur les JG a changé pour s'améliorer par rapport à l'année dernière. L'intérêt pour l'actualité régionale en est une raison, en plus ils disent que la lecture est plaisante, due au format, taille, etc. Selon les résultats de cet étude, les ados disent que le JG est une bonne source d'information, mais ils sont majoritaires à dire qu'il s'agit d'un "survol" de l'information. Les JG ont par ailleurs privilégié les infos régionales, et les lecteurs ont montré une meilleure acceptation des rubriques proposées, mais ils aimeraient plus de proximité, plus de sujets "qui informent, qui divertissent et qui donnent envie de savoir plus".
Depuis que je ne suis plus une adolescente au sens strict du terme, je me demande si l'intérêt pronnoncée pour les nouvelles sur les catastrophes naturelles devant l'actualité ne tient pas au fait du sensationalisme des médias... ça fascine! Et puis, on apprend quand même que les jeunes si jeunes s'intéressent un peu plus aux "problèmes de société" qu'à l'actualité des people, mais moins que l'année dernière...et que de toute façon, le sujet qui leur intéresserait le plus c'est sont les technologies, le sport et l'actualité du cinéma...et ceux-ci, beaucoup plus qu'en 2006.
Ce que j'en pense : Pas forcément de concurrence entre l'internet et les JG, car l'internet est avant tout un divertissement, et les journaux, une source d'information "utile" et qui "donne envie de savoir plus", donc, d'aller sur internet pour...se divertir.
Les JG pour les 12-18, c'est comme du zapping sur papier.

Je trouve plutôt positif d'avoir des JG. Il sont aussi utiles aux 12-18 ans qu'aux adultes!
Je me souviens qu'entre 12-18 ans je ne lisais pas vraiment le journal... même si on le recevait à la maison. Et toi?? Je trouve donc plutôt bien que les jeunes se mettent à la lecture grâce aux JG. Le pas supplémentaire serait que cette lecture les aide à ne plus faire de fautes d'orthographe... mais là, c'est trop demandé ;-)
Points négatifs aux JG, à mon avis: l'abondance de la publicité (mais bon, il faut bien payer les JG), et la trop grande importance donnée aux nouvelles à sensation et aux rubriques "chiens écrasés" (je ne vais pas les blâmer, le 19h30 de la TSR fait de même --> comme quoi, pour faire de l'audience aujourd'hui, il faut baigner dans le sensationnel et dans le micro-régional...).
